Philadelphia Commercial Fire Damage Cleanup

Not all fire damage is charred and destroyed structures and belongings. This fire in an east end area Philadelphia apartment complex suffered smoke and soot damage. The residue pictured in the Before Photo illustrates the unwanted coating to a light fixture and the ceiling. The odor, though not visible, was also a major concern. Our SERVPRO of Manayunk FST fire & smoke damage restoration team members got right to work. We used special dry sponges, wipes, and then detergents to remove the soot and smoke without staining the painted walls, ceilings, and fixtures. Other team members focused on cleaning the ductwork of some combusted particulates and then sprayed a deodorizing agent. Hydroxyl generators were also set up in a few of the more badly affected apartments. Within several days, all the units were clean, no lingering odors were detectable, and our client was very satisfied with our efforts because his tenants were pleased and satisfied with the minimal disruption to their routines.
