Water Damage – Manayunk Home

Water damage developed at this Manayunk home when the owners inadvertently left the bay windows and kitchen windows open when they went for an extended weekend trip. While they were away the area where their home was located experiences tremendous thunderstorms that carried a lot of rain as well as high winds. The combination of wind and rain left their laminate flooring in the family room too damaged to restore so it would need to be torn up and replaced. The kitchen had a tile floor so the water could be cleaned up quickly from the floor in that room. Much of the cabinetry had been exposed to the rainwater, and the base of the cabinets had been saturated by standing water, but it appeared that the cabinets could be dried and restored.
